About us

AWANA is a worldwide nonprofit ministry focused on providing Bible-based evangelism and discipleship solutions for ages 3-18. With an unwavering commitment to the gospel, AWANA is being used to reach over 5 million kids every week in 134 countries, giving children and youth from every background an opportunity to know, love, and serve Jesus for a lifetime. AWANA offers a curriculum that reaches kids and their families with the gospel. Our proven and adaptable curriculum develops leaders and disciples kids to walk with Christ for life. The AWANA ministry at FBCR is growing strong, training up children in the way they should go. It is a 2-hour weekly program where children learn the Word of God in large group time, memorize Scriptures during handbook time, learn to have fun and cooperate during game time and learn to share during snack time. There is a minimal fee for books and uniforms and we request each family support the ministry by donating snacks and toys. See below for further details about the ministry.
