CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
"Let the little children come to Me. Don't stop them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. (Mark 10:14)

The Children's Ministry here at FBCR is dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment for your children to explore a personal relationship with Christ. We use a high-energy worship style that children love and teach all our children from Bible based cirriculum, focusing on three main truths:
- I can trust God no matter what!
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated!
- I need to make wise choices!
There's a place for EVERY CHILD here, so let the little children come!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- How do I locate the Preschool Ministry area?
As you enter in the front doors in our atrium area the Preschool area for Birth thru 3’s will be to your right. Someone will be there to greet you and your children. If you have 4’s thru Kindergarten, a greeter will take you to their classes.
- How do I check in my preschooler?
You will be taken to Preschool Registration Desk and to appropriate area of Preschool (babies - Kindergarten). You will be asked to provide basic information about you and your child. Classroom assignment is based on growth stage, babies - 24 mos., or age- group class.
- Is there a security system?
We are currently working on a security system that will allow a better flow as well as providing state of the art protection for you and your children. Currently, when a greeter meets at the Preschool area, you will be asked for information about your child. Babies thru Three’s receive armbands that are numbered, parents receive a matching tag. Parents return the tag to the teacher to pick up their child.
- How long may my child remain in the Preschool area?
Babies through age 3 years are welcome to remain during the Worship hour and the Bible Study hour. One session will be a regular Sunday School class; the second hour will be an extended "Worship Care" class. Fours and K Fives will have Bible Study and Preschool Worship.
- At what time before each service / Bible Study hour may I bring my child?
Children may be brought to the classroom 15 minutes before the session begins. Many of our teachers come from a Worship Service, but will usually be in place 15 minutes early.
- What will my child be doing while we're here?
All of our Preschool classes are taught on an "age-appropriate" level. Babies and toddlers are taught concepts such as trust, love, gentleness through songs, gentle voices, having needs met by adults representing "God with skin on". Children 2 years old and above are taught the concepts already listed, along with Bible Stories, Bible-related activities, games, songs, etc.
- Do you have a pre-school or Day Care?
Yes. The WEE Center has been serving the Rockville community since 1976. They are open year-round for full and part time pre-school for children ages 2-5. You can contact them directly through their webpage.
